Sommer

Neulich war ich mal wieder bei Silke im Laden (Scrapbook Forever) und sie hat mich genötigt, mal etwas mit Embossingfoldern zu machen. Also gut, dachte ich, probiere ich es aus! Und ich muss sagen, das Ergebnis gefällt mir richtig gut!

Ich habe den Embossingfolder "tiny stars"  mit Distress Oxides (twisted citron) eingefärbt und dann damit hellgrauen Cardstock embosst. Das kommt richtig toll raus, weil die Sterne grau bleiben und der Hintergrund hellgrün schattiert ist. Das embosste Papier habe ich auf einen weißen Cardstock geklebt und am unteren Rand einige Worte aus dem Set "die Seele baumeln lassen" gestempelt. Die Fotos habe ich mit Transparentpapier hinterlegt. Den Text "my favorites" wollte ich mit der Cameo ausschneiden und die kleinen Buchstaben aufkleben. Leider waren sie zu klein und meine Maschine hat die Buchstaben verhunzt. Aber das Negativ sah gut aus, also habe ich mich entschieden, dieses zu verwenden. Die Karte habe ich mit der BigShot ausgestanzt. Der Schriftzug "Sommer" ist ebenfalls mit der Cameo ausgeschnitten. Darunter habe ich ein paar Zickzack-Streifen aus Laminierfolie geklebt (sie waren Reste von einem Stencil, den ich mir geschnitten habe) und ich finde, sie passen super da hin! Dann habe ich einige der "Kirschblüten" gestempelt, ausgeschnitten und auf dem Layout dekoriert. Zum Schluss noch ein paar Glitzersteinchen - fertig.

I wanted to use embossing-folders and I choosed the  "tiny stars"- folder and colored it with distress oxides (twisted citron). With this, I embossed a piece of grey cardstock and I like it how it turned out with the grey stars and the green-shaded background. I stuck it on a white cardstock. On the edge, I stamped some words of the "die Seele baumeln lassen" -set. The photos are backed with transparent paper. The journaling on my card is inspired by girlfriends are like shoes (list of favorites). I wanted to cut out the headline "my favorites" with my cameo and stuck them unto my layout, but they were too small, to cut them out nicely. But the negative was good and I choosed, to use it. The title "Sommer" is cut by my cameo, too. Under this title, I stuck some acrylic cutouts I have left from cutting out a stencil and I love how it turned out! Finally, I decorated my layout with some "cherry blossoms" that I stamped and fuzzy cut out and some bling.

From the testimony, I used:
