road Trip

Today starts a new month at Lasting Memories layout challenges! The theme for the next weeks is: transportation! And we start with CARS!

I wanted to get more inspiration and I decided to take the double sided sketch from stick it down:

And this is my layout: I used some older papers from my stash and lots of tags.

Thanks for your visit!

einfach Meer

Today we have a really interesting challenge at the Studio challenges for you:
black + white + one color

I love this combination! For my photos from Italy, I used the color blue in addition to black and white. I really love how it turned out and I think I will do more layouts with the combination of black, white and only one more colour...

The flowers are fussy cut out of a journaling card from stampin up and colored with blue watercolour.

The title is cut out with my cameo. Then I traced the letters with a black finetip pen and colored them a little bit with watercolour.

Meerweh

I saw the challenge #258  at CSI  and I knew: I have to solve this! I love the beach! And our next holidays are just a few weeks away!
This is the case file:

And I used a Sketch from Sketches in Thyme:

At more than words they have a beach challenge, too:

Für mein Layout habe ich ein werk von #Goldregenschauer auf Instagram als Vorlage genommen. Mir haben die Farben und die maritimen Elemente so gut gefallen!

For my layout, I used a layout from #Goldregenschauer as another inspiration. You can find her on instagram.

I love this lighthouse stamp! I colored the stripes with red metallic acrylic paint.

And I love these seashell stamps from SF-Stamps!

I was inspired by the shaker element on #goldregenschauers layout and decided to create a shaker, too.

Danke für deinen Besuch!

my favorites

All about YOU! We have a really interesting challenge at Lasting Memories for you! Today:

#405 - YOU are my favorite

Create a layout documenting one or many of your favorite things and journal your WHY. You can do a layout listing your favorites in multiple categories - book, movie, food, location, drink, tv show, etc; or, you can focus on one favorite that deserves it's own entire layout.

I really love the sea, sunsets, time with my famiy, sand under my feet, the North sea... All these things are my absolute favorites an you can see them on my layout!

I used the awesome SF-Stamps "Muscheln" to create some decoration. I stamped the seashells on kraft paper and colored them with polychromos.

I want to take part at the challenge of challenge YOUrself:

happy

Today, I created a layout with the blend-a-sketch challenge from Scrap our Stash:

And the paper girls have the assignment to use transparencies!

For my background I used a sheet of kraft paper and piece of brown cardstock that I embossed with an embossing folder. Then I colored the swirls with golden gilding polish.

The hearts are made with lots of embossing powder and a swirl stamp that I pressed into the hot, smooth embossingpowder. Before pressing the stamp into the liquid embossing powder, I colored it with distress oxide to get this awesome effect!

beach

Today, we have a fun this or that challenge at the studio challenges for you!
You have to use at least six lines of these:

polka dots            or            stripes
sequins                or            enamel dots
heart                   or            star
cardstock             or            patterned paper
flowers                or             butterflies
stencil                 or             stamps
stencil                 or             embossing
twine                   or             ribbon
blue                     or             pink
boys                    or             girls

I took my colour-inspiration from CSI:

And a sketch from Stick it down:

I used light yellow cardstock as my background. Then I smudged some gesso onto it and splattered some colors around (distress oxides: cracked pistachio and worn lipstick). The title is cut out with my cameo. Two of my photos fit perfectly into the letters. Then I handstitched around my title and traced the white letters with a black fineliner.

From the this or that I took:
sequins, heart, cardstock, flowers, stamps, twine, pink and girls!

The stamps are from SF-stamps.

1978

This month we have a the theme "EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU" at Lasting Memories!
Today: Throwback to your glory days

Create a layout documenting a photo and/or story from the past. You may have a story that doesn't have an accompanying photo - no problem! Find a stock photo online of something to do with the memory, or set up a staged photo to represent the story. You can dig out the archives and scrap those baby pics of yourself, too! Document an old memory you've been meaning to record.

I choosed a photo from me as a child. Here I was ca. 2 years old. I watered the flowers on our balcony in Luxemburg.
I used black cardstock as my background and painted several metallic gilding polish colors onto it. Then I splattered some white acrylic paint around. The embellishments are made with print and cut and my silhouette cameo.

Wolkenspiel

Today I tried to realize a challenge from white with 1. It was hard for me to use only one colour!
the color is:

And I used the sketch from Sketches in Thyme:

And this is my layout: First I wanted to use a cutfile wreath for decoration, but then I decided to use only blue paint and white texture paste.

The clouds are cutfiles from the cut shoppe.

I love winter

It's summer here in Germany, but who feels like creating summer layouts all the time? 😉 I saw the winter challenge at off the rails scrapbooking and decided to join in. And I had so much fun in creating this layout with all the blues!

And I want to join in the challenge of use your stuff. They want to see monochromatic creations.

so fun

I LOVE our new challenge at the studio challenges!  BIG SHAPE! I love using big shapes on my layouts.

Today, I wanted to let the shape be the eye catcher of my layout! I used this beautiful butterfly cutfile from Paige Taylor Evans and backed it with patterned paper. I really love how it turns out!

selfie

We have a new challenge at Lasting Memories for you, today:

LM # 402 - Love Your Selfie

Some of you may be comfortable taking selfies, others may not be, but do it anyway! We want to see your beautiful face on a layout. Please scrapbook a photo of yourself and tell a story about YOU. Journal about your hopes and dreams, a funny memory, anything that pops to mind that you believe a future scrapbook reader would LOVE to know about the caring person who created your scrapbook.

I used grey cardstock as my Background and stamped some dots, swirls, stars and little butterflies onto it. Then I coloured white cardstock with copper, apricot and brown gilding polish and cut out some butterflies with my big shot.

I stamped with distress oxides and I love how the dots turned out.

I love the gilding polishes! They have such a great shimmer!
