hey scrappy friends! A new month starts at Lasting Memories layout challenges and it was my turn to create the challenges! The theme of the month ist:variety of shapes And in the first week, we want to see STARS on your layouts!
The title is a cutfile from just nick, that I traced with a fineliner:
look at this cute star - stamp. You don't need christmas to use it!
Diesmal habe ich mir den Sketch von let's get sketchy ausgesucht: you know: I love using sketches! And for this time, I chose a sketch from let's get sketchy:
I cut out some rhombs with my cameo, to create the background of my layout. Then I stamped with sf-stamps onto them. I used stamps from these stamp-sets: "endlich Urlaub", "Hibiskus", "Genieße den Augenblick", "es gibt viele Dinge" and "Wirbelwind". I colored the flowers with watercolor and sprayed some color mists onto my white background cardstock.
Danke für deinen Besuch! Thanks for your visit today! Denise
It's time for a new challenge! Today, I used the challenge of CSI - color stories inspiration. And I have to say: the colors really challenged me! Normally, I don't like yellow. But the light yellow and the grey was ok together... 😉
The last paper-challenge at Lasting Memories is online! Today: use only 6x6 papers
First, this really challenges me. I had no idea, how to create a layout with 6x6 papers. But then I chose some nice woodgrain papers from a 6x6 paper pad I bougt to back my photos or cut files. And I have to admit, that I like how it turned out!
Hello friends! Today we have a moodboard-challenge at the studio challenges for you! Have a look at all the lovely colors! Aren't they inspiring?
And you know, I love sketches and for this layout I used the sketch from sketches in Thyme:
I used white cardstock as my background. Then I cut out a sun with my cameo using a yellow patterned paper. Behind the sun, I splattered lots of turquoise and salmon colors with the packaging technique.
The title is cut out with my cameo and traced with a black fineliner. One of the sun stamps was not dry already.... :-(
I stamped these amazing hibiscus with black versafine, colored them with polychromos and fussy cut them out.
Now, let us see, what you can create with this moodboard!! Thanks for stopping by! Denise
I love using clouds, so I wanted to solve the challenge of Scrap our Stash:
And one of the challenges of Paper Issues this month is: painting:
I used white cardstock as my background and painted some light blue nuvo embellishment mousse and dark blue acrylic paint onto it. For the top and the bottom of the layout I used stripes of different blue papers and machine stitched over it. The clouds are cutfiles from the cut shoppe.
I used white cardstock as my background and a light green patterned paper that I cut into a big circle. I splattered some green colors onto my layout and stamped onto it.
I used lots of decoration from my stash (insta-frame, Flowers, leaves, butterfly, bird...) to create an eye catcher in the middle of my layout.
Hallo zusammen! Schon wieder sind zwei Wochen vorbei und eine neue Challenge bei challenge up your life steht vor der Tür! Das Thema heute: Regenbogen oder Einhörner
Hello everybody! A new challenge at challenge up your life is round the corner! The assignment today: rainbow or unicorn
I used dark grey cardstock as my background. It fits perfectly with the rainy sky. I smudged lots of gesso onto my background and did some color work with blue and yellow ink spray. The title cutfile with the rainbow and the clouds is from just nick. Finally some stickers and washi tape.
I put some foam adhesives under the title to create more dimension.
And I want to join in the challenge of paper issues with the assignment: layers
For my layout, I used the pretty paper of maja design. I really love all the blues! I did some stitching on the arrow cut file from the silhouette design store. The flower is made with print and cut and my cameo.
Today I'm sharing my newest layout for the Lasting Memories design team. The focus this month is on papers. This week the assignment is: create your own background paper!
I stamped words from the sf-stamps collection "die Seele baumeln lassen" onto my background paper and some flowers on a piece of dark brown cardstock to use it as decoration.
I stamped the seashell stamps with brown versafine and colored them with polychromos pencils. I really love how it turned out on the kraft paper!
A close up to the big flower that I stamped and then traced with stickles to give it a more glittery effect.
and also use aSong Title; we want to see you use a song title on your layout, you can also use the lyrics too if you like.
I created a double layout with some photos of my daughters jazz dance show last year. They acted the story of "wizard of oz". I used the title of the well-known song "over the rainbow" and a verse of the songtext.
New month, new challenges at Lasting Memories! This month, the assignments go around with paper. Today: try a new paper technique.
I took all the paper strips from the bottom of the patterned papers, that I cut and collected. I weaved them and stick it down on my white background paper.
The Clouds are cut files from just nick and the cut shoppe.
